Artania, one of the Phoenix Reisen fleet, followed the Queen Victoria into Sydney harbour this morning. The Queen Victoria was, quite frankly, too early for me, but Artania arrived at a more reasonable hour. While Artania should have been the highlight, a fur seal decided to float around in front of me which was very unusual, & cute.
It’s been another busy week in the harbour. Today it was the turn of the second Regent Seven Seas vessel to visit this year – Seven Seas Navigator. Navigator’s younger sibling Seven Seas Voyager has visited a couple of times.
Black Watch departed Sydney earlier tonight, heading north to Brisbane. This vessel used to visit Lyttelton regularly when I was growing up, but back then it was called Royal Viking Star, sister ship to Albatros (ex Royal Viking Sea). In the early hours of the morning, Queen Elizabeth moved from Athol Buoy to the Overseas Passenger Terminal. No, I didn’t get any photos of that! The weather played nice, so I did get some shots of her departing Sydney tonight.
